The Art Fair
On April 8th 2001? we went to the downtown art show on 5th and Guadalupe. There were canopied tents with a great selection of fine arts, paintings, bronze
sculptures, clay works, jewelry. There were tropical water colors, nature photos, glorious color photos of Tibet, Chinese style silk paintings/woodcuts. The bowls with embedded beads were impressive (and
expensive, up to 4 grand each). There were two stages with music and an auction tent. Lemonade, food, kids playing, a gay festive atmosphere on a relaxed sunny Austin day.
